"American Idol": Isabel Gonzalez Steals the Judges Hearts
The latest Latina to shine on “American Idol†immediately charmed the hearts of the judges.
Isabel Gonza <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> lez got the surprise of her life with her unconventional audition on Season 12 of the reality competition show.
The 16-year-old Apharetta, Ga., high school student was nominated by her aunt, Bernie Haberman, because she knew her niece would dominate the competition.
“She has an amazing voice but she’d be too nervous to go alone,†Haberman said. “If you give her that little push she can rise to the occasion.â€
Judge Rand <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> ]sac louis vuitton y Jackson surprised Gonzalez at her high school and told her to “come in front of us and sing.â€
The opportunity was a dream for Gonzalez, whom told the judges she would happily ditch high school for Hollywood.

Judge Nicki Minaj said she was “absolutely head over heels in love†with Gonzalez.
“You’re doing it so effortlessly,†Minaj said. “You’re up there and you’re not even trying.â€
Mariah Carey echoed the sentiments of her fellow judge, and rumored foe, telling Gonzalez, “People are going to fall in with love you because you are a star!â€

Latino Stars Featured on  World Baseball Classic Roster
USA Baseball announced its roster for this year’s World Baseball Classics that includes many of the top names in Major League Baseball.
Not surprising, the roster features Cleveland Indian’s Pitcher Chris Perez, Miami Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton and Toronto Blue Jay J.P. Arencibia.
According to the release, 15 Major League All-Stars, three Most Valuable Players and one Cy Young Award winner are among the players on Team USA's provisional roster.
Other players on the team includes recent Cy Young award winner R.A. Dickey, Brandon Phillips, Jimmy Rollins, Mark Teixeira, Shane Victorino and David Wright.

Three MVPs are playing in the competition for Team USA, Ryan Braun (2011 N.L.), Joe Mauer (2009 A.L.) and Jimmy Rollins (20 <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> 07 N.L.).
"We are pleased to announce Team USA's 27-man provisional roster, which will be led by Joe Torre for the 2013 World Baseball Classic," said Mike Gaski, USA Baseball President. "This team features unprecedented international experience at the highest levels, and we look forward to March when the players will take the field to represent the United States."
Of the three Latino players featured, only Arencibia is not an All-Star.
"Having talked to all of these players I sense a great deal of excitement about representing the United States in the World Baseball Classic," Torr <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> e, the former New York Yankees manager, said in the release.
The World Baseball Classic takes place in March and is ran by Major League Baseball.
Sixteen teams are participating, including teams from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Venezuela, Me <a href={url}>{keyword}</a>xico and Cuba.

First Mexican Gray Wolf to be Released Since 2008
The U.S. is attempting to expand the endangered Mexican gray wolf population by releasing the first male into the wild in four years.
The U.S. Fish an <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> d Wildlife have hopes that releasing the adult male will help the genetic strength of the gray wolf species.
Lynda Lambert, public information officer for the Arizona Fish and Game department, said the move to release the new alpha male was part of a joint decision with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife.
“You can’t just release a dozen at a time,†Lambert told Fox News Latino. “You have to do it with clear strategy.â€
But by choosing a new alpha male, Lambert says, it’s a “step in the right direction.â€
Part of the blue stem pack, the decision to release the new breed came after careful thought and consideration.
The wolf chosen for the alpha role came after testing which one had the best chemistry with the females already in the pack.
The pack’s former alpha was killed last year by illegal poachers.
The new male wolf will be released in the Apache National Forest in Arizona and New Mexico.
Mexican gray wolves are native to the Southwest region of the U.S. and Mexico.
After being hunted to the brink of extinction, the wolves gained protection in the Endangered Species Act in the 1970s.
Since the recovery program for the gray wolf launched in 1998, the species has slowly begun to regain its numbers.
But while the Arizona Game and Fish commission unanimously voted for the release, some conservationists say the move to release just one wolf is not enough.
“A lack of releases has resulted in inbreeding and reduced pup litter sizes,†Michael Robinson, a conservation advocate with the Tucson-based Center for Biological Di <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> versity, told the .
“This is an important first step, but the <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> re needs to be dozens of wolves released to expand the population.â€
