Country singer Mindy McCready's boyfriend, the father of her baby boy, committed suicide, says her rep.Kat Atwood confirmed today that David Wilson, McCready's partner of about two years, died Sunday evening at home in Heber Springs, Ark., of a self-inflicted gunshot wound."Now they're working on funeral arrangements and figuring out where to go from here," Atwood told "People."It was another sad milestone in the troubled life of McCready, 37, who has attempted suicide herself, struggled with depression and addiction and has fought in court over custody of her children.Wilson, 34, was the father of her 9-month-old son, Zayne. She only recently was awarded custody of her older son, Zander, 6."She is surrounded by people who love her and are there for her," Atwood told People. "It's a very sad time, but she has support in place."In a statement to Fox, McCready said Wilson was her "soulmate.""He was a caregiver and guiding hand to our sons, Zander and Zayne," the statement read. "He was a precious gift from God to all of us and, yesterday, he returned home and is now with his mother and father."
